Get ‘Infected’ With Michael Madsen, William Forsythe

Published

on

Inkubus director Glenn Ciano has yet another film at Cannes, Infected, which stars Michael Madsen, William Forsythe, Christy Carlson Romano, Tommy DeNucci, Johnny Cicco, Annie Worden, and Jeanine Kane.

Below you’ll find the official synopsis, while inside you’ll find the trailer and an absolutely terrible poster that’s have you slapping your forehead in distain.

Natural selection says that, when faced with a predatory intrusion, all organisms must evolve to survive. However, Darwin made no promises that evolution would lead to improvement…

As they’ve been doing for years, Louis and his son, Andrew, are first to arrive at the peaceful cottage their hunting club rents each deer season, and as the other club members arrive, they begin the familiar, relaxing task of setting up the cabin. Deep in the woods, cut off from civilization, they spend a long weekend cleaning, rekindling old friendships, and hunting…
…(continued) Kelly, the cabin’s caretaker, arrives heavy with news that her grandmother is ill. When grandma disappears in the woods, it is quickly apparent that she is not sick from any ordinary virus.

There are reports of hysteria and brutality in rural wooded areas throughout New England. The source of the violence is unknown and almost universally unprovoked. Normally sane men and women, young and old, have begun committing unimaginably horrific acts…humanity is sick.

As infection spreads inexplicably through the hunting club, one by one, decisions have to be made and old friends abandoned. You see, all creatures must either evolve to meet new threats, to protect themselves from the predators at the door…or face extinction

We all know zombies don’t exist in the real world. The dead don’t rise from their graves, don’t stalk the earth impelled by a witch doctor’s curse. But what if, in the real world, zombies weren’t dead? What if instead what we recognize as zombies were simply unfortunate human beings infected with the very really parasites that exist on nearly every inch of the earth and deep within each of us…turned into singularly driven creatures whose need for energy more closely resembles an addiction than a hunger.

What if at their core these creatures were still people who understood the atrociousness of the unnatural acts they committed but were unable to stop?

This is a reality Andrew and his father could not have possibly imagined when their hunting trip began a few days earlier. This is the terror that faces nine friends as, one by one, they are forced to experience the monstrosity of the…Infected!
