[Sundance ’12] Interview With The Death Set, End Credits For ‘V/H/S’
Those of you keeping up with V/H/S now know that one of the main goals of the experimental project was for it to be F/U/N. This bled into conversations about the film’s conclusion and how to play out the credits.
While most found footage films end with a lame “fade to black” and no credits, we opted to rock out with some jams ’80s style. The fact of the matter is, we’re not trying to fool you, every viewers knows it’s NOT real. You know?
The idea was to end the film on a high note and have the viewer walk out of the theater with a hop in their step. This is why we chose The Death Set‘s “They Come To Get Us” (purchase) as our end credit theme. In celebration of the film being acquired by Magnolia, Bloody’s Jon Barkan interviewed Johnny Siera of the Aussie punk rock band over at BD’s Music Section. Anya Taylor-Joy fights the world in George Miller’s hotly anticipated Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the upcoming prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road that’s coming next month.
Warner Bros.’ Furiosa has been rated “R” this week for…
“Sequences of strong violence, and grisly images.”
Furiosa will release in theaters on May 24, 2024. The film will tell the origin story of the character Charlize Theron made famous in Fury Road, also directed by George Miller.
“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
Chris Hemsworth co-stars as Warlord Dementus.
“Whereas Fury Road essentially happened over three days and two nights, this happens over many years,” Miller had teased during a press conference last year.
Miller is co-writing and directing the movie for Warner Bros.
Back in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road grossed nearly $400 million worldwide at the box office and won SIX Oscars, while also scoring rave reviews nearly across the entire board.
Last we heard, Miller also intends on making sequels centered on Tom Hardy‘s Mad Max.
