Compelled to kill innocent young girls to use their blood, the Countess is helped by her husband Karl, who fakes his own death and pretends to be a vampire to fool the superstitious villagers about the source of the exsanguinations. In the meantime Karl finds himself attracted to Marina, the young daughter of a local innkeeper, perhaps another victim for the Countess.

MARKER: S’more

In an isolated small town in the Pacific Northwest, Sylvia’s teenaged life of juggling two boyfriends and an overprotective father is turned upside down when she discovers she has a bizarre virus which has randomly plagued the women in her community for decades and shamefully forced those afflicted into hiding. Sylvia undergoes a horrifying physical transformation, and she finds herself drawn into a persecuted underworld where she begins an astonishing journey of freakish self-discovery. Marker is a classic coming-of-age tale with a horror twist, which pits its heroine against her oppressors – the town’s non-afflicted – in a battle for self-determination–and survival

MONSTER BEACH PARTY: Indican

This schlocky homage to the beach party/horror scene of the ’60s has the van of the all-girl rock band, The Violas, breaking down in a quaint seaside community. Simultaneously, the Skunk Ape monster (an odorous version of Bigfoot) appears and begins terrorizing the town. The bouffant-tressed band must then team with the locals to end the ordeal, singing and dancing all the way.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D: Lionsgate

Ten years ago in the town of Harmony, an inexperienced coal miner caused an accident that trapped and killed five men and sent the only survivor, Harry Warden, into a coma. When Harry awoke, exactly one year later on Valentine’s Day, he wanted revenge and brutally murdered 22 people with a pickax before being killed himself. Now, after years of peace, something from Harmony’s dark past has returned. Wearing a miner’s mask and armed with a pickax, an unstoppable killer is on the loose. As his footsteps come ever closer, the townspeople realize in terror that it just might be Harry Warden who has found his way back.

NIGHTMARE CASTLE: Severin

At the height of her career as the dark goddess of Italian horror, the legendary Barbara Steele delivered two of her most memorable performances in this tale of obsession, madness and depravity. Steele stars as a cheating wife who is chained, whipped and tortured to death by her sadistic scientist husband, and as her unstable blonde stepsister whose fate may be even more ghastly.

SACRED FLESH: Redemption USA

Sacred Flesh toils with themes of repressed sexuality and sin, as the Mother Superior of a medieval convent is tormented by lust and torn on her vows of chastity. Taunted by visions of Mary Magdalene, who reveals the confessions of the younger nuns at the convent, the Mother Superior’s mind is filled with the violent, sexual acts of her fellow sisters masturbating, embroiled in steamy lesbian encounters, molested by priests and even kidnapping and crucifying a rival nun!

SKULL & BONES: Ariztical

Nathan and Justin are united by their fierce and undying passion for slasher, vigilante, zombie, and serial killer films. Bored with their mundane existence as students at an obscure college in impoverished New Haven, Connecticut, they decide to teach their stuck-up classmate, Andy, a lesson by befriending and then raping him. However, when their drug-fuelled plans go awry and Andy dies, they get further turned on and decide to pay a visit to nearby elite Ivy University to wreak even more havoc and terror. Hoping to extort money from an Ivy League jock, they plot to lure one home and photograph him having sex with them. Alighting at the local Ivy bar, they come across four promising Ivies who gloat about their future plans to become world leaders: they have been tapped to join the exclusive secret Ivy society known as Skull and Bones. As the Ivies continue to belittle Nathan and Justin for being total losers, humiliation is now added to their rage. The resentful duo cunningly plots to kidnap the Ivies one by one. What follows is a harrowing tale of bloody “HOMO-cidal” mania leading to a climactic ending that’s certain to startle and shock even the sickest horror fans!

TRUE BLOOD: The Complete First Season: HBO (TEX’S PICK OF THE WEEK)

TRUE BLOOD chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps… where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix. Sookie Stackhouse works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte’s. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. Her situation is further complicated when the bar gets its first vampire patron – 173-year old Bill Compton – and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other.
