We’ve got a little nugget of exciting news for you as Night of the Demons director and co-writer Adam Gierasch has e-mailed us a list of bands being used for the forthcoming remake that stars Diora Baird, Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, Bobbi Sue Luther, Jonathan Beach, Michael Copon, Tiffany Shepis and Edward Furlong. You can check out the list of bands you’ll be jamming to, along with a brand new exclusive still featuring Linnea Quigley’s cameo by reading beyond the break.
In the film arriving in theaters October 9th, Angela Feld is throwing the Halloween party to end all Halloween parties at the infamous Broussard Mansion in New Orleans, where dark events transpired almost a century ago. But when the packed party gets busted by the police, Angela and her friends Maddie, Lily, Suzanne, Colin, Dex and Jason are the only ones left behind. Soon Colin and Angela make a grisly discovery in the basement and inexplicable events start to take place. With the mansion gates mysteriously locked, the seven find themselves trapped for the night…and soon they’re fighting ancient demons for their very souls

Here are some of the bands that we’re using for NOTD,” Adam Gierasch writes in. “They’re all pretty rockin’ and Joe Bishara (Repo! The Genetic Opera) has done a great job helping me to assemble some evil horror rock for the soundtrack.

-45 Grave (they wrote us an original theme song)
-Concrete Blonde
-Goatwhore
-Psycho Charger
-TSOL
-Type O Negative
-Zombie Girl
-The Ghastly Ones
-Haunted Garage
-Wednesday 13
-Death Riders
…and many more.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
