CBS Films is getting on board Flight 75 which had Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge, Marebito) attached to direct the claustrophobic thriller, reports Variety.

The project’s based on a pitch from Shimizu and “is set on a transpacific airliner where the passengers encounter what seems to be a supernatural force.” Hopefully it’s one million times better than that garbage Altitude.

Taka Ichise (The Grudge, Shutter), Roy Lee (The Ring, The Departed, Pacific Rim) and Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Phase 7) are producing.

CBS Films is aiming Flight 75 for a late summer/early fall start of production.
