I haven't really been following anything on the new movie until now, so forgive me, I'm gonna assume this one will completely render void all the movies after H2, right? Sounds complicated if you ask me. And they're still going to have the same issue of: Myers was burnt to a crisp in that movie, please do explain away. Which leads me more to believe they will focus heavily on him as The Shape, more a folkloric bogeyman rather than a person, which is at least getting back to the essence of the character.

I don't know how to feel about all of this. Carpenter and Curtis being on board has piqued my interest, but I'm certainly not holding out for anything spectacular. A part of me is kind of bummed out they're probably gonna completely dismiss H20, because whilst not a perfect film by any means, it was at least a decent continuation/arc piece for the Laurie Strode character.
It's essentially going to be the official second sequel after the first two original movies. Not sure how it's all going to play out in terms of story and Curtis' age, but I'm guessing it's going to be a H20 type affair.

Danny McBride is on record saying it's going to be a more Shape focused Myers.

H40.

He's a very unusual choice to be involved with this, but I'm curious to see what he brings to the table.

Playing with confusing 40 year old plot lines doesn't seem like a wise move for a movie that's supposed to be getting back to basics, I rather they left the Strode saga alone and did something fresh and new. I'll reserve judgement but can't say I'm feeling very optimistic.

They're gonna be filming this in SC. Ha. I can waltz right down there and peep at them from behind some shrubbery. In my Myers mask of course.

It sounds like it's going to be H20 part 2. What else can they do with Jamie Lee returning ?

Either way I'll be seeing it.

I want to see the original Tommy Doyle make a comeback alongside Laurie.

It would be cool if they got Brian Andrews and Kyle Richards to at least make an appearance.

So it turns out that...

ONLY the original is canon in this sequel. Bold choice to undo the sibling relation between Laurie and Michael, but I'm down for it.

There is no Michael Myers. Only The Shape.

Did we learn they were brother and sister in the 2nd one of the original run?

So, just checking to be sure, in the 1st one, their 'relationship' was that Laurie was living in his old house, or she visited it while The Shape was watching his old house, right?
It was the cow...
