Darren Lynn Bousman’s The Devil’s Carnival just wrapped shooting last week. Fans on the official site’s forums already know that the cast now consists of Repo! The Genetic Opera co-creator Terrance Zdunich, as well as Repo! stars Alexa Vega, Ogre (from Skinny Puppy) and Paul Sorvino. The members also state that Emilie Autumn and Sean Patrick Flanery have also joined previously announced Bill Moseley and Briana Evigan and Marc Senter.

And know we know that Slipknot’s The Clown is playing the part of “The Tamer”. He took to their official site to make the following announcement.

Hey everybody, what’s up. I am driving back from Denver right now with my children because I have been in California for the last couple weeks and that’s why you have not heard from me at all. Reason being I was invited to partake in my very first acting role. I am very honored to have been asked to be a part of this project. The project is called “The Devil’s Carnival”. I play a Character called the tamer. And let me tell you, there is a little Tamer in all of us. It’s always been a dream and a goal for me to try and act in something that is filmed besides music videos. I am very honored to have the opportunity to have worked with so many talented actors and people who are involved in making this production come to life.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
