No ‘Dog Soldiers’ Blu-ray Until 2015, Sorry.

It was announced late last year that Scream Factory will be howling for Blu-ray Collector’s Editions of both Ginger Snaps and Neil Marshall’s Dog Soldiers.

Unfortunately, Neil Marshall’s 2002 Dog Soldiers, about a military exercise that went awry when a pack of werewolves get involved, will be delayed until 2015.

“i>Sorry guys but there’s been a change of plans for our upcoming Collector’s Edition release of DOG SOLDIERS that we need to make you aware of… Due to unforeseen issues on clear ownership of the rights, we are forced to move the title off of its planned August 26th release,” explains Scream Factory.

“Rest assured, we are doing everything we can to work out a solution to bring this back into our scary fold, but as of now, the street date is undetermined and there is a strong possibility of it moving to early 2015. As always, we will keep you guys posted on any developments. Our apologies again.“

Gateway Horror Classic ‘The Gate’ Returns to Life With Blu-ray SteelBook in May

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
