Stage Fright

Magnet Releasing has set a July 8 release for Stage Fright (read our review), Jerome Sable’s horror musical starring Douglas Smith, Meat Loaf and Kent Nolan.

Starry-eyed teenager Camilla Swanson wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a Broadway diva, but she’s stuck working in the kitchen of a snobby performing arts camp. Determined to change her destiny, she sneaks in to audition for the summer showcase and lands a lead role in the play, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill, and Camilla soon finds herself terrified by the horror of musical theatre.

Bonus Features Include: Commentary • The Making Of Stage Fright • Outtakes • Deleted Scenes • Interviews: Writer/Director Jerome Sable • Co-Composer Eli Batalion • AXS TV: A Look at Stage Fright • “The Legend Of Beaver Dam” • Trailer.

This was horrible. I made it to about 30 to 35 minutes in when I could not bare another minute. I loved Repo the Genetic Opera, Devil’s Carnival, and I love stupid, pointless comedic horror films so I thought I’d enjoy this.
