Well Go USA Becomes Latest ‘Victim’

Published

on

A young man attempts to break out of a cycle of violence in the urban drama Victim, debuting on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital September 9 from Well Go USA Entertainment.

Tyson (Ashley Chin; Cherry Tree Lane), Mannie (Jason Maza; Welcome to the Punch) and Jason (Michael Maris; Cockneys vs Zombies) grew up together in the tough inner-city world of London’s East End, where no one can be trusted and everyone is out for themselves. With opportunities limited, it’s crime that pays the bills and violence on the streets is how someone makes their mark. When a naïve country-girl (Ashley Madekwe, TV’s “Revenge”) comes to stay in this urban cesspool, her naivety disturbs the delicate balance of the group of friends.

Directed by Alex Pillai (The Best Man), Victim also stars Anna Nightingale (Abducted), Letitia Wright (My Brother the Devil), Shanika Warren-Markland (Adulthood), Natasha Sparkes (Powder Room) and David Harewood (Third Person).

Tyson (Ashley Chin), an east Londoner in his 20s, looks after his sister by day, and robs luxury flats at night. But his sister’s classroom encounters with an inspirational teacher (David Harewood) suggest that even very difficult lives can be turned around. Meanwhile, Tia (Ashley Madekwe), a girl from the other side of the tracks, enters Tyson’s life and allows him to glimpse another way of life.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.

If you’ve never seen The Gate, it’s now streaming on Prime Video and Tubi.
