‘Late Phases’ Becomes ‘Night of the Wolf’ For Home Video

Late Phases

There’s something awful hiding in the woods and it’s coming after the unsuspecting in the gripping and acclaimed Late Phases: Night of the Wolf (review).

From the director of Penumbra, Cold Sweat and Here Comes The Devil, the horror film will be available for Digital Download and on Blu-ray and DVD from Dark Sky Films on March 10, 2015.

Bonus Features on the Blu-ray and DVD will include: Commentary with Director Adrian Garcia Bogliano, Making Of Featurette and the FX Featurette.

“Blind war veteran Ambrose McKinley (Nick Damici, Stake Land, We Are What We Are) has recently moved to Crescent Bay, a seemingly peaceful community on the outskirts of a dense forest. On his first night in his new home, McKinley hears his elderly neighbor attacked by something he’s convinced isn’t human.

When the creature then kills his seeing eye dog, McKinley’s thirst for justice turns into a one-man vendetta against the monster that’s terrorizing his neighborhood. And when he’s stonewalled by both the police and his fellow residents, he decides to gear up and prepare to fight the beast one-on-one. Now it’s man vs. myth as the take-no-prisoners McKinley readies himself for what could be his final battle.

With a stunning lead performance (“Nick Damici is great” – Brian Tallerico,, director Adrian Garcia Bogliano’s LATE PHASES: NIGHT OF THE LONE WOLF is a suspense thrill ride unlike any other. The Dark Sky theatrical release also stars Ethan Embry (Cheap Thrills, Eagle Eye, Vacancy) and Tina Louise (Gilligan’s Island, The Stepford Wives).”

  • Sounds solid. I’ll be checking this one out. Haven’t seen a solid Werewolf movie in a long time.

    • Leebo

If you haven’t seen ATTACK OF THE WEREWOLVES (aka GAME OF WEREWOLVES) then check it out.
WER was pretty good too but seems to be dividing opinion./

When did WER release? I’ve been waiting forever to hear more on it after I saw the trailer but haven’t seen anything since.

Wojo, i highly recommend WER too! it’s freaking awesome!

        • Michael James

Wer has been released but only on DVD. But yea. Wer was pretty damn amazing.

  • J Jett

god, this movie was horrible. i was really excited for it but it’s just god awful. the werewolf design & execution (it’s movements, the way it’s filmed, etc) are an embarrassment).

    • Lee S

      I agree, it was terrible

This is where you and I are going to clash. That movie kicked ass. Great story, good main character, great score, etc. Worst part about if it was the werewolf face. I’d have rather not seen it, personally. That and the dog dying. That part was infuriating. But beyond that, I could see that happening to myself! Knowing my fucking luck. My wife passes away, I lose a sense to some job-related injury and I got a dog because fuck remarrying at like 55. So, I gotta move to some premature burial ground for the elderly and of course! Fucking werewolves! Totally would happen to me. Great movie.

Can’t read, can you? Look at the title again. It’s Night of the LONE Wolf. I mean, it’s right there.

I liked Late Phases. It is no classic by any means but it was enjoyable like an odd amalgam of elements from Silver Bullet and Bubba Ho-Tep.
I did think the werewolf make-up failed at times. I understand they were stuck with a small budget but there were way too many instances where the werewolves came off looking like Critters.
