Doppelgänger Releasing, the genre label at Music Box Films, announces the U.S. theatrical and VOD release of Alleluia, director Fabrice Du Welz’s (Calvaire, Vinyan) chilling romantic thriller that won every top award at the 2014 Fantastic Fest, the country’s premiere platform for thrillers and horror films, including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor. Also an official selection of Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Films Festival, Alleluia features an unforgettable performance from Pedro Almodovar regular Lola Dueñas in a dark and fascinating love story based on the true-crime story of the Lonely Hearts Killers, which also inspired the 1969 classic The Honeymoon Killers.

Alleluia arrives in theaters and On Demand July 17, 2015. Opening at select theaters in New York and Los Angeles, the film will be available nationwide via cable VOD, iTunes, Amazon Instant and other digital platforms.
