Full Details For ‘The Purge: Election Year’ Home Video Release

Published

on

The Purge: Election Year (read our review), the third film in The Purge franchise, is coming to home video just in time to get out the vote. The Digital HD version will be available September 20th with a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo to follow on October 4th. I unfortunately missed this one in theaters but have eagerly been waiting for the home video release. Anarchy was one of my favorite films of 2014, so I am going into this one with pretty high hopes. In DeMonaco and Grillo I trust!

The next chapter occurs over 12 hours of annual lawlessness sanctioned by the New Founders of America to keep this country great.

In The Purge: Election Year, it’s been two years since Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) stopped himself from a regrettable act of revenge on Purge Night. Now serving as head of security for Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), his mission is to protect her in a run for president and survive the annual ritual that targets the poor and innocent. But when a betrayal forces them onto the streets of D.C. on the one night when no help is available, they must stay alive until dawn…or both be sacrificed for their sins against the state.
