‘Open Water 3 Cage Dive’ Poster Drops 47 Meters Down

I’m a huge fan of Chris Kentis’ 2003 micro-indie Hitchcockian thriller Open Water, which is based on the true story of two scuba divers who are accidentally stranded in shark infested waters after their tour boat has left.

In 2006 Hans Horn’s deep sea horror was rebranded as Open Water 2: Adrift. Now, distributors are rebranding Cage Dive as the third film in the ongoing home video franchise.

Lionsgate has set an August 11, 2017, release for Gerald Rascionato’s first-person shark movie Open Water Cage Dive. In addition to the previously released trailer, here’s some new art that makes the film look exactly like 47 Meters Down, in theaters now.

Cage Dive follows three American tourists making an audition tape of a shark cage dive for a reality TV show. A catastrophic turn of events leaves them stranded in the waters of South Australia surrounded by hungry great white sharks.

Is this even going to stand a chance being that it ALMOST resembles ’47 Meters Down’?

I’ll watch it. I’m a sucker for shark movies. Unless there sharknado’s then I skip it all together or any of those stupid syfy shark movies. but if it is just a shark movie alone I’ll watch it. Open water is a good flick. open water 2 I don’t remember being any good lol.

Pffff….looks like a poster for Shark Attack 3 or Meg. Also, I’ve seen better tag lines on Thankskilling box art.

Hoping they bring the gore and people get chomped ….My expectations are extremely low for this since it’s not even getting a theatrical release …..
