“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”: The Complete Series 20th Anniversary Edition DVD Boxed Set

Buffy 20th Anniversary

Arriving on DVD September 19, 2017, from Fox Home Entertainment is “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”: The Complete Series 20th Anniversary Edition boxed set.

The teen years can be brutal. Especially when you’re Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) — a Sunnydale High School student destined to slay supernatural, blood-sucking baddies instead of hanging out at the mall. Over the seven seasons of this thrilling, witty show, Buffy struggles to maintain allies in the fight against evil, while also engaging in on-off romances with a moody vampire (David Boreanaz) or two (James Marsters). Now you can own this 39-disc set containing all 144 episodes of one of the smartest, funniest, most action-packed series ever to slay on the small screen — also starring Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Head and Nicholas Brendon.

Bonus Features:
• **NEW** Official Buffy Dark Horse Comic Book Featuring Exclusive Cover and Coloring Sheet Inside Packaging as a Gift With Purchase for Limited Time Only
• “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”: The Complete Series – Seasons 1-7 along with Special Features Material from Previous Seasons

  • John Connor

    DVD? Ew.

  • venerablemonster

So the only new thing here besides the packaging is an old Buffy comic with an exclusive cover. What an underwhelming release. They’ve been repackaging the same dvd’s for awhile now. Wouldn’t mind something new.

  • Alex

Buffy deserves better in 2017 than shitty DVD quality.

    • The Drucifer

Good luck getting it. Those remasters from a few years ago were a joke.

  • Ben Gleason

DVD? Is it HD at least like the Netflix releases? When do we get this?

    • Mister B

With an aspect ratio of 1.78:1, hopefully never.

      • Ben Gleason

I guess I never saw the errors with the HD Netflix release. I thought it looked much better than the DVD picture quality.

  • KSE1977

Lol, seriously? Something that is not only available for free if you already pay for streaming, but also cheap if you go to Amazon, but they cannot even give it the X-Files or Star Trek the Next Gen treatment? Pass.

  • Allen Lee

I guarantee once everyone buys this they’ll released to Blu-ray Edition LOL

  • Josh Batchelder

This is my all-time favorite show, but I”m not even halfway tempted to buy this. I already own all the original DVD box sets and this is nothing new aside from some flashy new art. Release on blu, then we’ll talk.

  • ChaosHD

Fox are clueless idiots. This deserves the X-Files blu-ray treatment.

  • Bloodkry

I gotta go with what others say. Where’s the Blu-ray treatment?

  • Julie Turner

I already own the individual DVD sets from their initial releases, but would buy the complete series set to upgrade if it were Blu-Ray. Of course, I’d still keep my individual Season 3 DVD, since I got it signed by Eliza Dushku…
