‘Hellraiser’ 30th Anniversary Soundtrack, Poster and Steelbook On the Way

Published

on

30 years ago, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser premiered at the Prince Charles Cinema in London, introducing the world to Pinhead and his Cenobites for the very first time. On September 25, the film returns to the theater where it all began for a special screening, where all sorts of new goodies will be unveiled.

Via Mondo’s blog today, the 30th anniversary screening will see the launch of a new poster and soundtrack from Mondo. Both feature artwork from Matt Ryan Tobin.

The soundtrack has been remixed & remastered from the original 2 inch analog reel to reel session, and was overseen and approved by composer Christopher Young.

Here’s a breakdown of the different versions of the soundtrack…

LP Edition
180g vinyl housed inside an 425gsm gatefold sleeve featuring all new art by Matt Ryan Tobin and featuring liner notes from Clive Barker and a cardboard replica lament configuration box.

1) Screening Edition: Pressed on clear vinyl with black smoke and gold color in color effect available exclusively at The Prince Charles London screening and at Beyond Fest in Los Angeles on October 6th. 500 copies only. $30 / £30

2) Mondo Exclusive: Lament Configuration vinyl (Gold and Brown swirl) 2000 units. Online only. $30

Box Set Edition
6 x 7” singles each with a unique cover housed inside a 8’ x 8’ wooden lament configuration box replica with liner notes from Clive Barker. Strictly ltd to 1000 copies. On sale 10/6/2017 (online only). $80

As for Tobin’s poster, seen at the top of this article, it’ll be a limited edition of just 325. It will go on sale Friday, September 1 at PrinceCharlesCinema.com.

Additionally, Arrow Video will be releasing a 30th anniversary Hellraiser Steelbook Blu-ray on October 23,  just in time for Halloween!

The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
