CultFilms Launches ‘Suspiria’ 4K UHD Crowd-Funding Campaign

Published

on

Dario Argento’s masterpiece, Suspiria, is just as popular as it’s ever been. 4K versions of the film are currently playing in various theaters all over the world and it seems like virtually every week we learn of a new screening. In addition to the theatrical run there have been a number of different Blu-ray releases announced but thus far there has only been one 4K UHD Blu-ray release discussed and that comes courtesy of the UK’s CultFilms.

Two months ago I wrote about this release but the details were sparse at the time. We now have more details as CultFilms have launched a crowd-funding campaign via IndieGoGo to raise the funds to make this special edition of Suspiria available. The campaign launched earlier this week and has already earned 118% of the goal needed to make this release happen. That’s right, CultFilms has already received enough donor-backed support to make this release happen, so we’re getting Suspiria on 4K UHD!

Just because the goal has already been reached doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check the campaign out. Donating will still allow you to get the 4K UHD at a discounted price (17% off the list price) and there are some other cool perks available including a CultFilms or Shameless Films bundle pack. And CultFilms is working on a stretch goal so check the IndieGoGo and check it often.

Oh and did I mention that this 4K UHD Blu-ray is also a Steelbook because it’s a Steelbook! But the Steelbook is limited to 675 copies and at the time of this writing 333 have been claimed, so if you want one you better act now!

The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
