Joe Lynch’s ‘Mayhem’ Heads to 4K, Blu-ray and DVD in December

Earlier today, Joe Lynch’s Mayhem (read our review) hit the #1 spot on iTunes’ horror section, less than one week after the film arrived on VOD outlets/in limited theaters.

And just over a month from now, it’s headed to home video!

RLJE Films will release Lynch’s violent action/horror film on DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra High-Definition 4K/Blu-ray combo on December 26, 2017.

Directed by Lynch (EverlyChillerama), the feature film debut from writer Matias Caruso stars Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead,” Okja), Samara Weaving (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, MissouriThe Babysitter, “SMILF”) and Steven Brand (“Teen Wolf,” “Secrets and Lies”).

“Derek Cho (Steven Yeun) is having a really bad day. After being unjustly fired from his job, he discovers that the law firm’s building is under quarantine for a mysterious and dangerous virus. Chaos erupts throughout the office as the victims of the disease begin acting out their wildest impulses. Joining forces with a former client (Samara Weaving) who has a grudge of her own, Derek savagely fights tooth and nail to get to the executives on the top floor and settle the score once and for all.”

The Mayhem DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra High-Definition 4K/Blu-ray combo includes the bonus features “Creating MAYHEM: The Making of the Film,” an audio commentary with director Joe Lynch, Director of Photography Steve Gainer & Editor Josh Ethier and more.

Ok movie but there was something missing. It all seemed so forced.

  • lion7718

I thought it was just ok.

  • Micah Unice

Seeing this on the big screen is one of my favorite memories from The Overlook film fest. The audience went apeshit.

  • Kyle Cole

Watched this the other night. It kind of reminded me of the belko experiment, but still was pretty good and crazy!!

  • Papa_spoosh

I don’t get why Joe Lynch gets a seat at the “horror master” table. Just nothing he’s done is impressive in comparison to other directors out there making great lower budget horror. I can’t even listen to his podcast because he doesn’t let the guests talk and despite Greens directing chops and interview skills, lynch is enough to take me out of it. Just don’t get it on any level.

i liked MAYHEM! it’s a lot of fun. i liked it MUCH more than BELKO (although SEVERANCE is far superior than either film!).

    • Dennis Chenier

I’m the opposite, in that I liked Belko much more. Mayhem is definitely gorier but less fun. I will say Samara Weaving was the stand out and was the thing that kept the movie together.

      • J Jett

i agree Samara is great! i never even heard of her before until i watched THE BABYSITTER (i loved her it that and i loved that film) but i’m a big fan of hers now!
