1969’s ‘Fangs of the Living Dead’ Getting a Scream Factory Blu-ray

And the 2018 Scream Factory titles keep on coming.

Scream Factory has announced today that the Italian-produced Fangs of the Living Dead, released in 1969, will be getting a Blu-ray release next Spring.

“Beautiful fashion model Sylvia Morel (Anita Ekberg) receives news that she has inherited a castle from her uncle. Her curiosity leads her to journey to a remote village to see her new house. Once there, she learns of her family’s history and soon falls under the spell of her uncle. He wants her to become the new matriarch of the family … a clan of vampires!

This chilling tale of bloodsuckers was directed by Spanish horror director Amando de Ossorio (The Lorely’s Grasp, Night of the Sorcerers, the Blind Dead series).”

Look for this one on March 6, 2018.

Is this any good? I hate blowing $18 on something I’m only going to watch once.

I’ll be picking up the bluray (if it will play in the UK anyway) as it’s a decent enough little vampire flick.
A certain Tube which You can watch has it available – the quality is adequate enough for a quick watch if you’re not sure about it.

All Scream’s discs are region locked…

          Really?
          That sucks.

Yep, an unfortunate contract stipulation by the licence holders. I’ve recently went region-free for Scream Factory’s Paul Naschy collections and Spanish horror discs and the upcoming Synapse Suspiria, and all the lovely Asian fantasy discs in 3D that I was previously locked-out of…

All this region coding is a joke – it just lends itself to more online piracy when someone cannot buy the version of the movie they want as they are locked out.
I get the reason why it’s done, but still – it’s time to get rid of region encoding.

I’ve just bought the UK release (4k remaster) of Suspiria (I haven’t checked it out yet, I’m planning on taking it to my buddy’s house next week sometime so we can have a session of Supiria/Inferno bluray, and probably my dvd of Mother Of Tears, on his 62 inch 4k tv) but I really wanted the Synapse steelbook edition. I could still buy the Synapse for the packaging, but it’s a lot of money for something I cannot watch.
