Warner Archive Details ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre III’ Blu-ray

After years of only the first two films getting Blu-ray love, we learned last week that 1990’s Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III is finally coming to Blu-ray!

Warner Archive revealed last week that they’ll be bringing the franchise’s third film to Blu-ray in early 2018, and today they’ve provided more details about the release.

Leatherface rips on to Blu early 2018 w/a new 1080p master of the Unrated Version in 5.1 DTS audio,” they tweeted. “Aspect Ratio of 1.78:1, 16×9 Widescreen.”

Special Features, same as the currently available DVD, include:

  • Alternate Ending
  • Trailers

Gateway Horror Classic ‘The Gate’ Returns to Life With Blu-ray SteelBook in May

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences.
