Death is in the air…
Evolutionary Films, the London based sales and production company, have been appointed as international sales agent to represent the high-concept, sci-fi, action feature The Carrier, Bloody Disgusting learned out of Cannes.
The Carrier is said to be an edge-of-seat thriller about eight survivors who escape in a badly damaged commercial jet to avoid a pandemic that is ravaging the earth.
The survivors sacrifice everything to get on board, but soon discover that the infection is on the plane. How long can they stay airborne and what will be waiting for them if they land?
Evolutionary Films will launch the title to international buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.
“When setting out to make The Carrier, it was my intention to make a fast paced, tightly plotted thriller in the style of some of my favourite films, examining the themes of science, religion and human nature,” said director Anthony Woodley.
The Carrier is produced by Luke Healy and Anthony Woodley, and is an intelligent outbreak thriller in the tradition of films such as 28 Days Later, Outbreak and Contagion.
