“Preacher” Promo Prays For Blood; Meet DeBlanc and Fiore!
AMC just launched this new promo for AMC’s “Preacher,” the new series hailing from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, Superbad, Neighbors).
The network additionally released two brand new images from the series, featuring Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) and Sheriff Root (W. Earl Brown), along with an image featuring DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef) and Fiore (Thomas Brooke), two Adephi angels sent to Earth to retrieve Genesis (the powerful spawn of a demon and angel that possesses Jesse).

Based on the twisted and popular ’90s comic book franchise of the same name, “Preacher,” set to debut on Sunday, May 22nd at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, is created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, and is the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.
Other cast includes W. Earl Brown as ‘Sheriff Hugo Root’, the mean-hearted father of Eugene Root aka Arseface (Ian Colletti), a flinty-eyed, conspiracy-credulous redneck who is not a fool and has a vulnerability to him.
Jamie Anne Allman will play Betsy Schenck, a meek wife who appears to suffer beatings by the hand of her husband, Donny. When the Preacher checks up on her, though, she tells a different story. Derek Wilson is Donny Schenck, a Civil War re-enactor and abusive thug who gets into altercations with Jesse Custer but nevertheless shows up to church on Sundays.
A Nightmare On Elm Street‘s Jackie Earle Haley was cast as Haley Quincannon , a member of the local KKK branch and clashes multiple times with Jesse.

‘Dead Mail’ Exclusive Images: SXSW Horror Movie Begins With a Blood-Stained Postal Box Delivery
One of the genre films we’re looking forward to checking out at SXSW this year is Dead Mail, written and directed by Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy and premiering on March 9.
Meagan Navarro will be reviewing Dead Mail for Bloody Disgusting as part of her SXSW coverage, and she writes in her preview for the upcoming fest: “Dead Mail leans heavily into the ’80s analog aesthetic, delivering a unique crime thriller unafraid to get offbeat with its dark narrative. Expect its characters to be as atypical as Dead Mail‘s sense of style.”

“On a desolate, Midwestern county road, a bound man crawls towards a remote postal box, managing to slide a blood-stained plea-for-help message into the slot before a panicking figure closes in behind him. The note makes its way to the county post office and onto the desk of Jasper, a seasoned and skilled “dead letter” investigator, responsible for investigating lost mail and returning it to its sender. As he investigates further, Jasper meets Trent, a strange yet unassuming man who has taken up residence at the men’s home where Jasper lives.
“When Trent unexpectedly shows up at Jasper’s office, it becomes clear he has a vested interest in the note, and will stop at nothing to retrieve it…”
