From the building in Barcelona as the setting for [REC] to calling the cabin in the woods home in Mama, Javier Botet has inhabited some dank places as his plethora of creature characters. Taking a break from the hours upon hours of special effects he will next be seen as himself in Freehold (the UK title for SXSW selection, Two Pigeons).
Check out the poster below ahead of the Premiere at Horror Channel FrightFest next week.
Fellow star Mim Shaikh and director Dominic Bridge will be in attendance at the London screening, where it has been nominated for the second annual Genre Rising Star Award. You can creep more from the movie over on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
“The film is a dark urban morality tale with an underlying streak of jet black comedy. Hussein, a wide-boy estate agent, doesn’t realise he’s sharing his apartment with a forgotten stranger, a master of concealment… until his malicious campaign of deranged sweet revenge starts to really hit home. A roof above our heads is a basic human need so why are we all fighting each other over it? A genre riff on home invasion chillers and a searing comment on the cut-throat housing market.”
