Shooting is underway in West Yorkshire on director Dominic Brunt’s revenge-thriller The Taking, one of the new films on the slate of newly minted UK sales outfit Metrodome International, reports ScreenDaily.
Victoria Smurfit, pictured, star of NBC’s “Dracula,” will star alongside Joanne Mitchell and Jonathan Slinger in the story of two women who turn the tables on a vicious loan shark.
”The Taking is a powerful female lead movie that tackles the zeitgeist issues of debt and class warfare in a violent, thrilling auteur project,” said Metrodome International head of sales and acquisitions Caroline Couret-Delègue.
Metrodome Distribution will release in the UK.
The shoot is due to wrap on May 18.
