Jules Willcox (“Bloodline”, “Chicago P.D”) will topline the indie action-thriller, Alone, Mattias Olsson’s remake to his Swedish film, Gone (Försvunnen), Deadline reports.
John Hyams, who directed Universal Soldier: Regeneration and its sequel Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, is helming the film based on Olsson’s screenplay adaptation.
“Set in the Pacific Northwest wilderness, the film follows recently widowed Jessica (Willcox) who, fleeing the city in a desperate attempt to cope with the loss of her late husband, is kidnapped and locked away in a mysterious man’s cabin. Her escape from the clutches of this murderous captor land her in the heart of the untamed wilderness, with only her wits to rely on for survival as her pursuer closes in.”
Marc Menchaca (“Homeland”, “Ozark”) and Anthony Heald (The Silence of the Lambs, Boston Public) co-star in film, which is produced by Jordan Foley and Jonathan Rosenthal via their recently launched Mill House Motion Pictures banner in collaboration with Paperclip Limited.
