I've had this one for many years. It's not big but it's cool.

I got my Jason Premium pt 3 figure a couple of weeks ago and it's the centerpiece of my collection, looks absolutely amazing. I didn't go for the exclusive edition because of the inflated price, and I wouldn't display it w/o the mask anyways. I have the previous FvsJ premium Jason as well even though I HATE the Franken-Jason look.....that movie should just not exist.

What kinda sucks is that we both could've had the exclusive edition for the exact same retail price as the regular version, had either of us signed up early enough for the pre-order on Sideshow's website...that is, if I'm correctly understanding Sideshow's pre-order policies. My excuse is that I couldn't scrape up enough money at the time to even begin saving for a pre-order. Still can't even afford the regular edition at the moment!

But I do plan on getting it eventually, unless I can't find one for a reasonable price when the time comes ($280 or less)...if that's the case, I'm just going to design my own custom 18-inch, using the mask from Neca's quarter scale FvJ figure, the head from either Neca's 1:4 remake fig or the 18-inch Screamin' model kit, and the body and some of the clothes from the Diamond Select quarter-scale "Indiana Jones" figure.

I'd also like to design a custom "Grim Reaper" style Jason with a hooded cloak, utilising Diamond Select's quarter scale Emperor Plapatine figure with the above mentioned mask and head(s)...Building custom 18-inch Jason "kit-bashes" is far less expensive then purchasing a Premuim Format version from Sideshow, plus you have the added sentimental bonus of knowing that your own sweat and tears went into a significant portion of the thing's construction...

That's precisely why I didn't even concern myself with Sideshow's Premium Format FvJ fig when it was first announced...can't stand FrankenJason. The movie itself would've been just slightly more tolerable if they'd modeled his look after Parts 3 & 4. Or even VI and/or VII would've been preferable to what we got. The jacket especially needed to go, as did the "sympathetic eyes". The iconic mask is at its utmost creepiest when the eyes are kept mostly in shadow anyways, like "nightmare Jason" as portrayed by stuntman Tom Morgha for the opening dream-sequence of 'Part V'...

I got mine at bigbadtoystore.com for 264.99 + 45 shipping to Canada so it'd probably be cheaper in the states. I was going to convert my Michael Myers 18" Neca body w the Neca FvsJ head and mask into a Part 5 Roy figure eventually when I have time. I'm still partial to Jason in part 6, CJ Graham was the man, and I agree with the eyes, when you can't see them it makes it so much better.

That's probably the best price I've seen yet for Sideshow's 'Part 3' Premie...

Yea, I'm partial to CJ Graham as well, he was certainly the best Jason post 'Final Chapter'...Ted White and Richard Brooker were both excellent as so-called "human-Jason"; with White getting the slight edge for his nearly animalistic raging predatorial fury...but Brooker having an astoundingly almost "casual" quality to his movements, made his portrayl truly unique as well.

As a kid back in the late '80's, CJ always was my personal favorite of all the Jasons. Though I certainly appreciate the assorted so-called "nuances" Hodder first brought to the part back in 1988; to me he had nothing whatsoever on CJ. Graham was a remarkably skilled former marine...though he wasn't formerly trained as a stuntman or actor within the movie industry, his militery experience and natural actorly instincts arguably gave his Terminator-esque "Zombie Jason" a certain charm that has never quite been equaled by any who followed thereafter.

Speaking of CJ in Part VI and custom Jason figures, I figured out how to make a custom 1:6 scale 'Jason Lives' figure that would rival the one put out by Sideshow...using the polystone head and mask from the Comicon Exclusive Edition of Gentle Giant's 1:6 'Jason Lives' bust:

Hopefully my custom will not only outshine Sideshow's commercial version, but be at least half as good as this excellent custom rendition by Elvis1976 over on the boards at sideshowcollectors.com:

Have you seen the custom 18-inch "Roy" by Spaz (aka Brandon Parmley) from the old defunct Friday boards? Spaz has done some great Voorhees-related custom figure work...He even pioneered some of the very first 12-inch Jasons to be made publically available, offering a (then) complete line of the various film incarnations thru his own Forest Green Collectibles, long before Sideshow attempted their first Jason back in 2003...Anyways, this 18-inch Roy seems to be exactly what you are striving for, definitely uutilizing a Neca Quarter-Scale Myers, though the head and possibly the mask appear to be purely custom fabrications:

Where do you guys get your figures? I'm starting to dig these 7'' NOES figures that NECA has been putting out and just ordered a FVJ Jason 7" from Amazon. Haven't gotten an action figure in years until recently! Love the details and film accuracy of most of the figures i've seen. Which company makes the most legit figures?

                            Sweet...I want these!

I like that Neca is giving them more substantial articulation than their older figures...

These certainly put McFarlane to shame!

Still love that RevolTech though...best one yet, me thinks....

Mezco's as well. The part 3 Jason looks so cartoony next to Neca's.

I hope they continue the line. I would love to see them do a Part 5 and 6.

The Revoltech is cool, but it's a little too small for me.

                                [QUOTE=travisbickle;2658370]Mezco's as well. QUOTE]

I have a couple Chucky Mezco action figures I picked up for cheap a few months back they are pretty realistic but still a bit off.

I haven't really seen anything else by Mezco that would warrant a buy from me though maybe the southpark stuff.
