Nazi Zombies from the Mid-80’s? ‘Hell Hunters’ is Coming to DVD!

Ernst R. von Theumer’s Hell Hunters is coming to DVD from Film Chest Media on July 5, 2016. Restored in HD from the original 35mm print I believe this will be the DVD debut of this mid-80’s action flick. I think I saw this year’s ago, but I can’t quite remember. But hey, a mad doctor turns people in Nazi zombies? And there’s George Lazenby? That sounds fun!

Synopsis:
Deep in the jungle of Paraguay, Nazi zealot Dr. Martin Hoffmann (Stewart Granger) has been hiding for forty years, searching for a powerful weapon of science that will restore his dream of Nazi domination. Working with the venom of a deadly jungle spider, Hoffmann believes he has discovered such a weapon and, with his cohort Heinrich (George Lazenby), forms a plan to test his evil new serum on the population of Los Angeles; meanwhile, a dedicated band of Nazi-hunters, led by the beautiful Amanda (Maud Adams), is rapidly closing in on them. HELL HUNTERS, a top notch action adventure film set in several exotic locations of South America, is directed by Ernst R. v. Theumer.

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
