  • Sadomasochism, torture, self mutilation, hell, murder & massacres 101. Any ideas? ;)

I love movies dealing in sadomasochism, hell, torture, self mutilation, massacres and that kind of depravity, done in a fucking scary way.

A movie I nearly creamed for when I read its plot was Hellraiser, I love the premise more than anything but sadly never enjoyed the movie as much as I wanted to.

I hope someone can hit gold for me and lead me in the direction of this moral putrefaction.

    Peace.

    Jigoku (1960)

It's been re-made twice in Japan. I suppose that's a tribute to its greatness rather than the Japanese film industry's need to cash in on the name and the legend.

That was funny, I really didn't like Hostel either. Why Quentin Tarentino put his name behind it I'll never know.

You could also add - A serbian film, and Slaughtered Vomit Dolls, and most of the guinea pig series, and Aftermath/Genesis. The problem for me is, most of these 'extreme' movies have no plot, and no real point. Alot of it is just fake snuff, and torture. Funny thing is, if you've been into the horror genre for awhile you've already seen most of these acts in small doses here, and there. There's a group on here dedicated to these type of 'movies'. Oh, almost forgot, 'Mordum' is pretty up there in the sicko levels.

Skip movies altogether and read some Peter Sotos or Marquis de Sade. What about Frontiers? I was going to say A Serbian Film, but then noticed it was said already.

^ Yeah, I agree with you, it's my first post and I was just looking to contribute something, anything.. How about 'Funny Games'? Although it's not overtly bloody or anything, most of the torture is psychological. But I found it pretty effective. The original one-- haven't seen the remake.
