  • Jack & Diane - lesbian werewolf movie

Ellen Page and Olivia Thirlby have been taken off the IMDB page for the lesbian werewolf movie.

Olivia did mention the movie in an interview this summer (

Meanwhile, Jack and Diane, a werewolf-lesbian picture she was to have done with Page, hasn’t been greenlit. “I mean, it’s half-animated and nonlinear and Ellen’s in a very high place right now and there’s just too much focus on her and her career for her to be able to go off and do some super-experimental flick.”

I'm not surprised that Ellen probably won't be doing this movie, but it does piss me off. She gets bigger so now she can't do something like this. She's just going to be typecast and play the same old characters now I'm sure. She was basically Juno in Smart People (a movie she really annoyed me in). I loved her in Hard Candy and Juno, but am getting sick of her schtick now. Her doing this movie would have at least been somewhat ballsy on her part and shown that she hasn't changed too much since becoming big. But clearly she won't do this movie anymore. And I bet you anything that if Hard Candy had come along after Juno, there's no way she'd have done it.

That is really, upsetting. I mean I first saw her in Hard Candy and HC is one of my favorite films - it's just flatout amazing in all regards. I really did like Juno too, although I was really scared for her career (that it was going too high and that she wouldn't do awesome indie projects because I do enjoy her as an actress). I didn't invest too much into her because I figured the slippery slope of stardom would hit, but HC is still one of my favs, and i'm looking forward to American Crime. Although, I guess thinking about it, indie lesbian-werewolf film would look rather bad on her IMDB page haha, but the film sounds great regardless!

If this is meant to be, there are other qualified up and comers out there. Page isn't the next coming or anything.

Haha, this sounds interesting and it looks as though it is still getting made. IMDB has a 2011 release date. No Ellen Page, though. The cast has Jena Malone and Juno Temple.

Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is giving her werewolf-like visions.

Based on the synopsis above, this sounds terrible.

And hopefully it's not made that much worse by having the movie open with that John Mellencamp song.

i was actually really excited about his when I read it was Ellen Page and Olivia Thirlby...they have changed that casting so much for this movie. I like Juno Temple, but for some reason I can not stand Jena Malone... Oh, well Ill probably go see it anyway cuz I'm a sucker for werewolf movies...And female werewolves? Yes, please!

              Finally a trailer:

Just watched this and it doesn't have a single thing to do with werewolves.

It's a drama/love story. There are a few nightmare sequences with a monster and you get a bit of blood, but no gore. No nudity, either.
(Btw, I have no idea what the nosebleeds and the monster was about)

This movie will piss people off who either want some gore or hot lesbo action. I myself kind of liked the indie feel of it and the simplicity of the story.
