In some aspects. But I enjoy the original for its high camp value.

      I don't find Dracula boring. It's a classic.

Browning was actually a very successful silent film director, I think that's one reason he made it as such. Works wonderfully. I haven't heard the scored version but I will next watch.

I always wondered what kind of Dracula Lon Chaney would have made.

He was the first choice, would have been interesting to say the least. He died just a year short.

It's good in a way really. Lugosi was magic.

Looks a bit like Jim Carrey.

On a side note, I wish that film wasn't lost. Murder At Midnight.

Damn you MGM and your fires.

              • This film is great. It can be scary but just enough that young kids do not have nightmares after they enjoy it. It is my favourite movie ever by far. Irecomend it to anyone. 10/10.

Oh, and people who do not like this movie simply because its black and white GET A LIFE!

                • Atmospheric gold! The quintessential Dracula. Though Schreck was magnificent, Lugosi's performance(s) are unmatched. He had both the sex appeal and evilness that brings the character alive. His Hungarian accent didn't hurt matters either.
Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make.
