I know that, but did you read his prologue to the book? He said it was intended as a novelization of the film, but when he read the script he realized there wasn't enough of a story to warrant a book version so he changed a lot of it.

Actually, Koontz based his adaptation on the available screenplay. The book was a strong seller upon it's initial release, months before the movie debuted in theaters. When Koontz finally saw Hooper's finished effort, he considered it a missed opportunity. After the film's poor reception, the book sales plummeted.
          Movie Ratings:
          Tourist Trap - 5.5/10
          Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - 7/10
          Lethal Weapon - 8/10
          The Vanishing '88 - 8.5/10
The Masque of the Red Death - 6.5/10

And the book was better than the film. The movie sucked.

Yeah, I know. I think this cover is exclusively for Wal-Mart. MY BLOODY VALENTINE also has another new cover. If I have the time I'll scan the new cover of 'April Fool's Day".

Too true. That was why I bought it without even really knowing much about it.

Yeah, I read a cryptic review that said 6 of the 8 kills are off-screen.

I'll have The Burning waiting if I am disappointed.

I don't have HD-TV so I am stuck with the VHS quality DVDs, but I have seen screencaps from the HD version and I just wanna say, fuck you.

                                lol

I'm glad you got to see it finally, one of the best from the wonderful 80's, eh?
