  • April Fool's Day (1986)

i just picked this movie up for $2.99 at a garage sale and i was wondering if anyone has seen it and if so how is it? Its directed by Sean Cunningham so it couldnt be too bad plus a dvd under $5 is a steal no matter how you look at it.

One of my absolute favorite 80's holiday slashers. I watch it at the appropriate time every year. Surprisingly creepy atmosphere, but you'll either feel it employs a brilliant twist or is a total cheat.

            Tourist Trap - 5.5/10
            Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - 7/10
            Lethal Weapon - 8/10
            The Vanishing '88 - 8.5/10
The Masque of the Red Death - 6.5/10

It's not really a horror film, but a sort of twisted version of "Ten Little Indians". And a damn good one.

It kinda makes me laugh when people ask, on a horror board, if people have seen a well known horror movie.

Does anyone else feel a "remake" coming on?

Yeah, I feel that every time I watch a good old movie.

The day after I first watched it I had to bring this one back. Even though I only got 3 bucks in return it was still worth it just to get rid of this piece of shit... 3.5/10

Not me... It's not the twist that makes me despise this. If it was actually funny, if there were some naked boobies, if there was at least one, one, good kill, if it was even minutely suspensful, I might've liked it but that's not the case. Just terrible...

It is a good movie, especially from the 80's. I liked the ending and never saw it coming at all. Sure, if you are watching it nowadays, it may not be as exciting as it was when it was first released, but I think it has aged well. Definately worth having.

What's that supposed to mean "especially from the 80's"? The 80's is the best decade ever for horror. April Fool's Day is bottom of the barrel shite.
