  • Communion (1989)

I love this movie! Christopher Walken! Aliens! Anal rape! Weirdness!

And the funny thing is the movie is played very realistic and normal.

Based on the book by Whitley Streiber.

First off, the opening shot is really creepy, I'll show you why:

Directed by Phillipe Mora who also directed Howling III.

    Classic stuff:

    "Is that someone there?"

Scared the absolute shit out of me when I was a kid.

If you like anal rape you should also watch Evil Aliens

If there's one thing I like more than anal rape, it's evil aliens, so I'll check it out.

I think this movie is where the notorious "anal probe" comes from.

Definitely a freaky-ass movie. Genuinely scary.

^ You're precious. Good luck in your little draft game. Anyhow, I need to kick my own ass for not having seen this movie yet. It sounds great and I love Fire in the Sky which might be it's cousin. Is this better than that? Anyone?

Fire in the Sky is more slick and mainstream but this is darker, weirder and more psychological.. I vastly prefer Communion.

The only thing I distinctly recall about this flick is its jarring cuts.

That's because the abduction sequences were supposed to be almost subliminal, like a nightmare. I found the editing in the Black Christmas remake much more jarring.
