Co-Publishers 505 Games & All In! Games with developers One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks have announced today that their cyberpunk slasher Ghostrunner will be receiving free game modes today, alongside a paid DLC in the form of the Metal Ox Pack.

The free update includes a new Kill Run Mode, where the player has strict time goals to make it through sections of the game as fast as possible. The update also includes a new Photo Mode.

As for the paid DLC, the Metal Ox Pack celebrates the Year of the Ox with four new swords and gloves modeled after Confucian principles and virtues: benevolence, justice, rite and integrity. The Metal Ox Pack is out now for $4.99.

Console players will be getting some quality of life enhancements in the update, including aim assist for the grappling hook, an adjustable field-of-view (FOV) slider, and for PS4 Pro users, added power in Performance Mode.

Lastly, the upcoming physical release for the Nintendo Switch will arrive on June 25 in Europe and June 29 for North America. The physical release will include every update since last year’s digital launch, including performance and stability improvements, control refinements, and upgraded graphics.

Ghostrunner is available now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.

In addition to helping out with KARMA: The Dark World, Wired Productions has also announced that their upcoming gory action title Gori: Cuddly Carnage finally has a release date. The Angry Demon Studio-developed title will arrive on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch on August 29. Digital pre-orders for the PlayStation versions include two days of early access on August 27.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage is a throwback to the games I played in the late 90’s and 2000’s,” explains Leo Zullo, Managing Director of publisher Wired Productions. “It’s pure adrenaline, fun, outrageous and really a showcase of just what indie gaming is all about – a place for creativity, freedom and the ability to make the game you want to make.”

“It’s been an incredible journey bringing this absurd and action-packed world to life, and we couldn’t be happier to finally share it with players everywhere,” says John Kalderon of Angry Demon Studio. “We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community and everyone who has been a part of this journey since 2020.”

Gori: Cuddly Carnage focuses on Cool-Toys Inc.. Fueled by insatiable demand, the toy company created Ultra Pets, the ultimate companions that never hunger, never require bathroom breaks and are impervious to the ravages of time. Little did anyone expect a mutation that would transform these perfect pets into twisted toys straight from your nightmares, hell-bent on wiping out humanity. What’s worse, the Adorable Army has kidnapped Professor Y, Gori’s creator, and the only human who showed him and his friends love.

It’s now up to Gori with his wise-cracking sentient hoverboard, F.R.A.N.K, and morose A.I companion, CH1-P, to slay the Adorable Army with explosive weaponry and devastating combos in an epic battle to prevent the Adorable Army from conquering the galaxy.
