I watched this two days ago and was extremely disturbed, because I was under the impression that it was based on a specific case, with specific people and actual evidence of what happened.
The pictures really caught me off guard and at first I thought Megan was decapitated. Once I found out it wasn't really based on a specific event I was relieved/disappointed.
Overall, I enjoyed the movie and it confirmed my opinion that having children is a very bad idea for me.

This movie in my opinion was FANTASTIC.
It felt so eerily real, and for some reason felt I knew the girls on a personal level.
It just goes to show this can happen to ANYONE and to be catious of who you meet online, totally creepy.

I had a hard time watching the end, I will admit I freaked a little bit.

There are definitely some sick fools out there.
Awkward, morbid, and usually confused.

I really enjoy this kind of abduction/psychological torture film. Mostly because it's "realistic". Anyone have recommendations for similar films?

No sense creating a new thread for a movie I hated.

Someone on another forum board "dared" me to watch this in a thread I'd made about A Serbian Film (which I also hate). I took the challenge like a sucker, and I'm still regretting it.

I felt gutted after watching this. Absolutely gutted. This movie was an emotional chore from start to finish and I hated it. Call me a pussy all you want, but I'm a sensitive guy so I guess I'm just not cut out for movies like this. That is to say, emotionally draining films.

may contain spoilers. a movie about two teenage girls who get involved in online dating. One of them gets abducted and tortured by a sexually sadistic predator i wont say any more. Stories like this always make me angry. It makes you think "What if this happened to my sister or my daughter, cousin, niece etc.?" I don't know if I could stomach graphic depictions of what these predators do to these girls but maybe a movie like this can open people's eyes to the real horrors of the world.overall i thought this was a good movie.

I laughed at some pretty inappropriate parts of this film.

All around, not a bad flick. I found some of the parts to be not so plausible, but I kept an open mind. I would recommend a watch for anyone interested.

I just watched this film and feel like a shitty, scummy bastard
There is no such thing as DEATH; it's just a trrransformation.

My old place in toronto had a bidet...I liked using it, cleaned the shit outta there + it felt good. Ever masturbate with a stream of water on your asshole? Feels great, try it sometime.

Created an account just so I could express my utter distaste for this film in an area where I've seen people (to my absolute surprise) praise it. This movie is garbage from start to finish. There are no redeeming qualities to the shitty acting and ultimately exploitative nature of the movie that makes NO statement whatsoever, besides that young filmmakers who can videotape young girls screaming for their lives for 20 minutes think they are being edgy and pushing boundaries. It's an exercise in complete gratuitousness with that terrible last 22 minutes and, honestly, movies like The Poughkeepsie Tapes did that better with more conviction, more proper chills and fewer shit actors. I cannot believe this was ever even suggested to me, or that anyone would see this as some kind of important film. It was so poorly made, my head is just spinning right now.

Terrible boring film with absolutely no redeeming qualities. It's not shocking or emotional, it's just flat out boring. Why this movie is getting any kind of attention is beyond me. Some of the worst writing and acting you will ever see in a movie. Do yourself a favour and just avoid at all costs.
