This. The only thing that I really liked about The Innkeepers was the chemistry between the two leads.

I really loved House of the Devil because the entire picture has a growing sense of dread and suspense and an outstanding payoff. The Innkeepers had two great characters who were just screwing around and no questions were really answered by the end.

I really should go back and give House of the Devil another rewatch, because I've only seen it once but I absolutely fell in love with it when I watched it. It's really quite slow, but never boring. There's always something going on.

I remember it actually freaked me out quite a bit as well. When I first saw it I was living in a college dorm and my girlfriend was asleep next to me, I was pondering waking her up to keep me company.

          I'm a little bitch, whatever.

Don't worry man, I gasped extremely loudly when
the pizza boy found out that Greta wasn't the babysitter
That's the scene that really got me going with the film.

I like Ti's style and look forward to his films, if only for the change of pace. It should also be noted that he has an exceptional "eye" for talent.

            Both are extremely attractive.

The film is out on this year's Toronto Film Festival. I would love to see it!

I saw it today and thought it was very good. Not a horror film per se, but very horrific nonetheless, more so than anything else West's done. The man can manufacture dread and suspense like very few can and his 'slow burn' story-telling approach is in full force, yet again, and works perfectly with the suspenseful atmosphere he creates (the score was fantastic).

The flick is shot and put together like a Vice type documentary, so some of the logical hiccups and questions that come with a found footage/fake doc type movie are there, but all in all I'd say it's his best, most complete flick to date.

                  7.5/10

PS: That teaser you posted has nothing to do with Ti West's 'The Sacrament'. According to producer Eli Roth at today's screening, there's no trailer as of yet and they're currently hoping to find distribution at the festival.

I was going to say. That teaser looked horrible.

So, is this a fake documentary/found footage film? I can't wait for this, and Afflicted.

That's the part that I'm dubious of. The story sounds really cool, but why do found footage? I can't see what that brings to it?

Gene Jones.....I've never seen him in anything besides No Country For Old Men.

So this is basically a recreation of the Jonestown Massacre. Some shots from the trailer look directly lifted from the documentary made about it. Why wait for this to be released when you can already see it here.

                              That documentary is fantastic.

This looks pretty good but I'm not a huge Ti West fan.

Why would you want to argue with Geek? He puts up an argument like a midget puts up Christmas tree lights.

This does look cool though, I'll surely check it out.
