  • The Sixth Sense (1999)

"The Sixth Sense"......This is a brilliant film, plain and simple. It is unique in that it relies on imagination and psychology to scare you and make you think twice about the world around you. Director M.Night Shyamalan did a fabulous job constructing the imagery of the film with both dramatic, touching, and chilling scenes. Wonderful performances by Bruce Willis, Toni Collette(Supporting Actress Oscar nominee), Donnie Wahlberg, and Haley Joel Osment(Supporting Actor Oscar nominee) and a terrific screenplay by Shyamalan light up the movie. Its one of the greatest psychological thrillers of all time. Nominated for 6 Academy Awards(including Best Picture)!!

    10/10

I loved it the first time. I loved it the second time as I picked up on all the little clues. The third time it lost its impact quite a bit and unfortunately every time after that I have enjoyed it less and less. I guess its bound to happen when the twist is such a major part of the film.
