Would the Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion series fit in here? That was a lot of fun.
I met her, fifteen years ago; I was told there was nothing left; no reason, no conscience, no understanding; and not even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong. I met this cow, with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes... the devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach her, and then another seven trying to keep her locked up because I realized that what was living behind that cow's eyes was purely and simply... evil.

For those getting into 'Long Pigs', don't be confused with the movie 'Long Pig'.

                  Since you mentioned Forced Entry maybe we can add Water Power. {porn,roughies}

Also since A Zed & Two Noughts was listed, I'll add Peter Greenway's other film The Baby of Macon.

                  Tears Of Kali

Glad to see Bennys Video and Clean, Shaven mentioned.

I haven't seen the first two but I went to see 'Art of the Devil III' in Thailand and I wasn't too impressed. They're all unrelated, right?

Haven't watched part 1 or 3, so I'm not 100% sure. I vaguely remember reading that part 2 & 3 were the only ones slightly related.

If these movies are considered "extreme" then what the hell would you call something like A Serbian Film?

Anyways, "extreme gore/pornographic violence" is a low interest of mine.

I watched A Serbian Film last night with some friends and the whole thing just seemed like its main goal was to push every single tabu-boundary that's out there.

It's a nasty, messed up film but it seemed completely without any sense of purpose whatsoever. It wasn't entertaining, it didn't affect me emotionally...it just made me go "ugh, that's nasty and fucked up".

Then take movies like Irréversible and Antichrist. They wouldn't leave my mind for weeks after I'd watched them. Sure, they have nasty scenes but with a greater sense of purpose and both movies contain very few scenes of graphic/sexual violence but when they come they hit you like a ten ton hammer.

I love gore when it's "fun" to watch (eg. Hobo with a Shotgun, Evil Dead, Planet Terror, Robocop, The Thing, zombie movies, etc...) or when it suddenly comes when you're not prepared (Drive is a good example when explicit violence is done to make the right impact on the viewer).

All this low-budget torture shit in the vein of August Underground just doesn't interest me. It's boring and trivial.

I have no idea if all this rambling made any sense.

Many here are confusing standard art-house trash and do-it-yourself hand-cam shit with extreme cinema. OP, how's about a precise definition? Consider the medium: the extremism must be explicit, not implied, so having an extreme subject is NOT a qualifer per se, and degradation of the medium through faux-doc is more extreme in its nihilistic use of the medium than in its subject matter, thereby nullifying its seeming intent.

                              BLOOD STAINED ROMANCE

Holden spies Sadie in the school library and instantly is infatuated with her. Being introverted towards women he internalizes these feelings. Soon love becomes obsession that leads to madness and bloodshed.

BLOOD STAINED ROMANCE is most certainly worth a viewing by any fan passionate about Underground Horror. With a budget of around $1000.00 the director, Mud Miller, out did most movies with much bigger budgets.

What is truly amazing is how the lead actor who plays the part of Holden got the part. On the day of first shooting the original actor never turned up. Within half an hour Chris Burchette got the role. For his first first time he pulls in a flawless effort. His performance of a guy going mad from the emotion of love is amazing.

In all honesty I cannot fault this film at all. From the acting, effects to the direction that binds everything together it is pretty much perfect.

Do yourselves a favour and if you haven't already pick up a copy of this DVD.

                              10/10

Like I previously mentioned, I have beef with some titles that don't really belong. Foreign arthouse ie: Taxidermia side-to-side with mid-90s indie comedy ie:Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Not everything here is UTTER trash. There is quality substance in there.

I'll never live that down, eh? Always glad to pass on the name of a good piece of cine to someone who will appreciate it.

The only ones I've seen from your list is Save The Green Planet and Silip: Daughters Of Eve. I'm going to check out the others soon.
I was up at 2am... nothing better to do : ) It was actually me that put your interest into Silip. Hopefully you watched the original language version, in Tagalog. The dubbed only makes for a solid viewing whilst stoned. The voiceovers shat all over the beautiful film.

As for A Serbian Film - I see it as a graphic cartoon. A hoot. It is though, extreme in what it set out to be, and belongs in the list.

My old place in toronto had a bidet...I liked using it, cleaned the shit outta there + it felt good. Ever masturbate with a stream of water on your asshole? Feels great, try it sometime.
