Keanu Reeves is back as John Wick in the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4, coming to theaters on March 24, 2023. And Lionsgate has debuted the sequel’s official trailer today!

The trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 is loaded with everything you love about the franchise, including Keanu one-liners, gorgeous visuals, and creatively brutal combat sequences.

Of course, the ever-evolving mythology will give rise to some fresh twists…

In Chapter 4, “John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.”

Clancy Brown (The Mortuary Collection, “Dexter”) will be making his way into the hit franchise in the upcoming fourth installment. Chad Stahelski (John Wick 1-3) will again direct.

Keanu Reeves is of course coming back for John Wick: Chapter 4, with the cast thus far also including singer Rina SawayamaDonnie Yen (Ip Man, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Bill Skarsgård (It, It: Chapter Two, “Castle Rock”), and Shamier Anderson (Stowaway). Most recently, Hiroyuki Sanada (Mortal Kombat) has also signed on to star.

Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick and Ian McShane will all be back for Chapter 4.

The John Wick franchise has been incredibly successful and profitable for Lionsgate, with Chapter 3 pulling in $326 million worldwide back in 2019 – to date, a franchise best.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
