LOL! I didn't mean it like that! I mean I just never felt the
need or desire to get one. I use Netflix, and don't feel the
need to own a bunch of movies that just create more clutter.
I like a simple home.
I hear you, but my blu ray collection will never be large enough. I love Netflix but pretty much only use it for streaming on my PS3. I'm one of those dudes who needs the physical media in my hand to feel right. A file or stream can only be temporary for me.
What's the quality difference between DVD and Blu-ray? Is it amazing?
if you have a proper set up (quality HD TV, blu ray player, HDMI cables, perhaps a nice surround sound) it is quite amazing.
Having said that, I only have a 22 inch television and I can still EASILY see a massive improvement.
A lot of the blu ray haters simply haven't experienced blu rays on a quality system. I'm buying into it now because I plan on having a nice HD set up in 2 or 3 years.... even though they look better on my tiny television.
So yes... I think blu rays are a massive improvement over dvds. Some of my blu rays (2001: A Space Odyssey, Avatar, Benjamin Button...) are so incredibly clear and detailed that it makes real life seem boring. Not that other blu rays aren't incredible, there are just a few that are mind blowing.
