Stylized Throwback FPS ‘Kingdom of the Dead’ Arrives This Week on Steam

Published

on

First revealed back in July, one-man developer army DIRIGO GAMES’ stylized FPS Kingdom of the Dead will finally arrive later this week. Originally slated for January 26th, the release on Steam was pushed back to February 10th to allow for that ever-important polish.

The story for Kingdom of the Dead sees you playing as Agent Chamberlain, a professor turned Army General, now working for the secret government program known as GATEKEEPER. Your goal: defeat Death and his armies with your array of eight weapons.

The big draw for the shooter visually is the art style. Described as  “pen and ink drawn”, the Steam listing also alludes to some customizability with its graphics. On top of that, old-school fans will appreciate the throwback 90s style of replayability, with each level consisting of 8 remote locations along the US East Coast having their own objectives.
