  • My bro's comic caught the attention of the Oklahoman

    http://blog.newsok.com/nerdage/2012/...ome-to-ralton/

Check out this exclusive page from the comic-book series “Welcome to Ralton” by Don Rosencrans with Cole Johnson. Oklahoma-based writer/artist Rosencrans will be at Planet Comicon in Overland Park, Kan., this weekend with Charles Martin of Literati Press.

The above page is page 5 from the third issue, set for an April 28 release.

“Welcome to Ralton” is a modern-day fantasy in which an ordinary man becomes friends with an apparent devil. Here’s the description from Literati Press.

The devil you know is better than the devil you don’t and Reno Sanders’ ordinary life takes a turn for the extraordinary after a chance encounter with the devilman of local legend. Welcome to Ralton is a humorous and humanizing look at the collision of everyday lives with a new world of comical fantasy and adventure.

Become a fan of “Welcome to Ralton” on facebook, and click past the cut for more art from the series.

Don is my bro, Cole is his friend that does some of the computer imaging (like the water in the pic above)

Don will be in KC for comic con this weekend... If you're in the area you should stop by. I'll get with him and find out the website you can purchase the comic from if anyone is interested. 2 issues released and the third is soon to be released.

Cool, I especially like the expressiveness on their faces.
I met her, fifteen years ago; I was told there was nothing left; no reason, no conscience, no understanding; and not even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong. I met this cow, with this blank, pale, emotionless face, and the blackest eyes... the devil's eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach her, and then another seven trying to keep her locked up because I realized that what was living behind that cow's eyes was purely and simply... evil.

        bad ass

tell your bro if he's interested in some promotion (interview/comic reviews) we'll be launching an entire horror comic branch over at best-horror-movies - i'll be running that, and i'm always interested in new fledgling works.

looks like fun. get us the ordering info; i'm always up for supporting small press stuff, especially stuff as cool looking as that.

If we suddenly fall should I scream out
Or keep very quiet and cling to my mouth as I’m crying
          So frightened of dying
          Relax, yes, I’m trying
But fear's got a hold on me

I live in Kansas City and was at the Pop Culture and Comic Convention that Cole's brother was at. Don is a really nice guy and a great comic creator. It was a pleasure to talk to him and see what the comic book publishing company has to offer.

Life and death are one thread, the same line viewed from different sides.
