David Fincher Returning to Direct Season 2 Episodes of Netflix’s “Mindhunter”
One of the most talked about new shows last year was Netflix’s David Fincher-produced/directed “Mindhunter,“ which premiered its first season back in October. As we learned not long after, the series was renewed for a second season by Netflix, and Playlist has now gotten their hands on the roster of directors on board for Season 2.
For starters, David Fincher himself will direct two episodes of Season 2, the premiere episode and the season finale. Additionally, Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James, Killing Me Softly) will helm another two, and filmmaker Carl Franklin (Devil In A Blue Dress, One False Move) will direct the rest and bulk of the show.
The site also details, “Heading to Southern Georgia, season two will focus on the infamous Atlanta child murders of the late 1970s and early 80s, which featured the relatively uncommon case of an African-American serial killer—in real life, Wayne Williams, who was tried, convicted, and sentenced to life imprisonment for killing two adult men, but never convicted of the deaths of twenty three murders of young children (though it’s unclear how close to the real events the show will hew).”
Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, and Anna Torv are all back for Season 2, which will reportedly be eight episodes (down from ten) and air sometime in 2019.

“Summer School” begins on Max on May 9, 2024.
The Max Original series from Warner Bros. Television debuts with two episodes on Thursday, May 9, we’ve learned, followed by one new episode weekly through June 20 on Max.
Following the harrowing events of “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” our Pretty Little Liars face a fate worse than death – summer school. However, Millwood High isn’t the only thing getting in the way of their fun summer jobs and new, dreamy love interests.
A new villain, who may or may not have a connection to A, has come to town and is going to put them all to the test.
Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco return as the next generation of Pretty Little Liars.
The series also stars Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas.
The series is created, written, and executive produced by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Riverdale,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) and Lindsay Calhoon Bring (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”). Aguirre-Sacasa’s Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment produce, in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo are also executive producers, along with Marlene King (who developed the original “Pretty Little Liars” series), and Michael Grassi.
