Now that Aronofsky is off The Wolverine I'm hoping he signs up for the upcoming Robocop remake.

He has wanted to do it since it was first announced years ago and he'd be perfect for it.

I am down for absolutely anything he does. Even though I respect him because of his amazing original work, I am happy to see him getting involved in the more "mainstream" side of things. Hopefully he can merge the two worlds and show people how to direct.

                I'd rank his films:

                The Fountain
                Requiem For A Dream
                The Wrestler
                Pi
                Black Swan.

You didn't let me finish. I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm gonna bash your brains in!

Am I the only one who doesn't like The Fountain tha much? I found it needlessly confusing and pretentious. Although it looked nice and the performances were great, the story was muddled!

Yup... Noah is going to be great and it will follow Aronofsky's trend of making movies about obesssion... Can't fucking wait!

I'm surprised to see anyone place Swan number one, with this being a horror forum and all. I mean, you didn't think it bit Jacob's Ladder, badly?

Am I the only one who doesn't like The Fountain tha much? I found it needlessly confusing and pretentious.
I like it, but I don't think you're wrong in labeling it pretentious. As cathartic and effective as I felt the conclusion was, a lot of the film is still slathered in abstraction.
