Agreed. That ep was mega intense.
Nah, they won't kill Harrow off. Looks like he's gearing up for a war. I hope he starts with putting a bullet in Gillian.
• That was a great, great episode in every way!! Nice ending to lead into the finale, too!

      Sunday cannot come soon enough.

I still think Rosetti will survive.

      • Holy fucking hell. Check out the preview for the finale.

This is exactly what I've wanted to see in this show. Full force mob violence.

Watched that last night and kinda wished I hadn't. Slight spoilers in there.

          • That's how you do a Season Finale! Shit!

Spoiler>Harrow lives! And not only that, he fucking kills everyone! Sad to see Spoiler>Gyp go, but it was inevitable, I guess. I knew Spoiler> Gillian was done, but I thought Spoiler>Harrow would get to her.

Now the long wait for season 4...

              • Fantastic finale.
Harrow stepping up and going mental was something I've been waiting for in this show, and they delivered on that front. I would've liked to have seen Nucky take down Gyp but it was still satisfying. The body count was massive.

The twist with Luckys arrest was pretty cool and I loved the set up, so to speak, with Rothstein for next season.
I hope we start to see the rise of Capone next season. Stephen Graham kills it with his performance.

                • Only thing I really want from next season is for Margerate to gain a personality, or to be killed, or leave, or whatever it takes to get her boring "I'm just a sweet and innocent Irish lady" routine, out of the show. She is the only element of this show, that is constantly bringing everything to a screeching hault. Hell, even have Nucky beat the shit out of her for a couple of episodes, just to give her character something to emote from. Anything.

                  Great finale though. Gyp
getting off'd
was a bit surprising, but one thing this show is not short on, are potential villains, so I get it. Also, Harrow is officially one of the baddest asses to ever grace a TV screen. That scene in the bordello will not be forgotten anytime soon.

                    ^This.

Less Margaret and more Van Alden next Season!

Also, I don't know how many Seasons this is gonna go for, but I definitely think this has the potential to surpass The Sopranos in greatness. If I had to judge based on the first 3 seasons of both shows, I'd give the edge to Boardwalk. I know this show doesn't have the massive ratings that the Sopranos had, so it won't likely go as long. Unless ratings pick up, of course....That, and with the way BE kills off it's main characters....Yeah, I don't see it lasting quite as long.

Until I see "Officially renewed", I don't get too excited for future plans of an HBO show. Look at where they left Deadwood. With the cost of these shows, nothing is safe at HBO.

Better than Sopranos though? I don't think so. I was never once bored with The Sopranos from season 1-5. Not one weak sub-plot, throughout those seasons. Boardwalk Empire is fantastic, but I'd be lying if I said it hasn't lost me a couple of times, with it's pacing. I wouldn't put it ahead of Breaking Bad, Deadwood, The Wire, or the first four seasons of Dexter either.

It sure has surpassed the recent seasons of Dexter though, and is currently my #2 show I watch on cable.

                      • As much as I love Boardwalk there's no way I'd put it over Sopranos. That show was pure perfection for five and half seasons.

I love the slow burn nature of Empire but sometimes it's too much of a slow burn. It needs to pick up the pace every now and then.

Yeah, that would SUCKKK if that happened to Boardwalk. I do remember hearing that it was picked up for another season, though.

It definitely has the potential to be. And I don't ever remember being bored with Boardwalk. The show pretty much puts me in a hypnotic state whenever I'm watching.

I still need to check out Breaking Bad, but honestly... I'd put it right up there with Deadwood. And it's WAY better than Dexter, IMO.

I'm a HUGE fan of the show, in case you couldn't tell.

Well, it certainly kicks the ever living shit out of the more recent Dexter. I'm really only sticking with it, because I'm pretty much obligated to see where it all ends up. If I'm being completely honest, Dexter pretty much sucks now. Those first four seasons(well, maybe not season 3), were intense as hell though, and really well put together.

As for Breaking Bad.....see it ASAP. You will NOT be disappointed, and will probably have a new favorite show. No hype. It's that fucking good. It's up on Netflix if you've got it.

And with good cause. It's a great show. One of the elites for sure.

I'm a fan overall, but I still haven't seen one episode of the most recent season. Hopefully I can avoid spoilers until I get a chance to see it.

That's what everyone tells me. Don't have Netflix, so I'm hoping AMC will put up past seasons On Demand. I don't see why the fuck they won't do it. I think they'll replay all the episodes when the rest of the most recent season gets ready to start back up, so I'll try and catch it then.
