  • Dredd
Solid sci-fi action with the reticent cop, this time within a huge building, which is terrorized and reigned by a ruthless gang, lead by a female called Ma-Ma (!).
The plot is thin and the dialogues as well, but the visuals and action definitely not. Sometimes pretty violent but not that hardcore, like many here proclaimed. Though, I missed the irony and witticism from the original, similar to the Total Recal remake.
For an once again unimaginative remake project a decent and visually stunning sci fi movie, in the end I was entertained.

    7/10

Fucking loved this film, one of the years best. I need to give it another watch soon.

                    The Master - 10/10

And he does it again. Outstanding film. PTA is a master filmmaker, the whole cast is fantastic, the score is spot on and it's absolutely beautifully shot. Oh yeah, and Jaoquin Phoenix is fucking unreal.

I'd write more of a review but I can't at the moment.

It seems like I'm one of the only people that think this is a pretty good, and creepy, atmosphereic film. Sure It's incredibly slow, but the short running time helps that a great deal. And I love the twist at the end.

                              • The Master - 10/10

My second viewing. This is my favorite film released since 2007s There Will Be Blood. Paul Thomas Anderson makes movies like no one else can. Beautifully shot, shockingly profound, and acted with professional genius. A movie about two men who are insane in their own ways that find a sort of duality in one another while seeking out their own ambitions separately. Who is The Master? Is Freddie becoming the master of his own life? Or in Lancaster the true master of the organization that seeks to control all in his reach?

There isn't a single thing about this movie that I don't like. It is a hypnotic work of pure genius.
