  • Snowpiercer - 4/5

Went in totally blind and loved it. Story is a good one and Chris Evans really shines in the lead role. Plenty of action and violence doesn't hurt either. Asian director really have their finger on the pulse when it comes to original story telling. Well worth the watch.

Put "2 Fast 2 Furious" in B&W and Se7en thinks he's watching a Bergman film.
I find the Metal Gear Solid series to be mediocre at best.

                • "Land Of The Dead"......Romero's "Land Of The Dead" is a hoot to watch. Lots of action, awesome characters, gore, and good ensemble acting. Some of the sets are awesome and the storyline is pretty good. Love that Asia Argento is in here and the strikingly handsome Simon Baker. I enjoyed the two characters interaction together. Some gore and special effects looked a bit like arcade game graphics...but oh well. Good makeup effects, awesome cameo's by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, and some shocking and thrilling scenes all highlight the movie. A fun and entertaining flick.

                  • "Diary Of The Dead"....Romero went back to his independent movie making and delivered another awesome entry into his "dead" series. The storyline/screenplay is solid. The documentary/movie making thing actually worked and turned out pretty good. Gore is good and the cast is rather strong for the most part. Special mention to the strapping stud Shawn Roberts who plays "Tony". The main actress Michelle Morgan as "Deborah" was just ok for me. Her and her character were too whiney and all over the place for me. Scott Wentworth is top notch as "Professor Maxwell". Loved the farm scene where the group had to stop to fix the camper. I also find the ending to be haunting. With the commentary by "Deb", the woman zombie's head shot/ split in half..and then we see a blood tear trickle out of her eye. That moment took me by surprise and find it very haunting and sad. U did it again George Romero...giving ur fans another top notch zombie movie!!

Love the Hitchcockian feel about it. Underrated imo compared to other psychological thrillers released around the same time.

How can you rate that so high? LOTD is a terrible film...From zombie's that mourn the death of other zombie's or to a retarded plot that actually has money being relevant in a zombie infested world? What the fuck does money even buy there? Utterly ridiculous...

It had some decent gore going for it but that's about all...
