‘Bones & All’: First Look at Timothée Chalamet in Cannibal Love Story from ‘Suspiria’ Director Luca Guadagnino

Being billed as a “horror love-story,” Luca Guadagnino‘s (Suspiria) next movie is titled Bones & All, with Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell (Escape Room) in the two starring roles.

A first-look image of Chalamet and Russell has been shared this morning, along with some plot details that flesh out the storyline. Deadline notes that the film centers on “star-crossed young lovers surviving on the margins of society, who meet and join together for a thousand-mile odyssey which takes them through the back roads, hidden passages, and trap doors of Ronald Reagan’s America. Despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand which will determine whether their love can survive their otherness.”

The script was written by David Kajganich, who wrote Guadagnino’s Suspiria. Camille DeAngelis wrote the novel on which the movie is based, which is very much a cannibal story.

The cast for the movie adaptation also includes Mark Rylance, André Holland, Jessica Harper, Michael Stuhlbarg, David Gordon-Green, Francesca Scorsese and Chloë Sevigny.

Guadagnino and Chalamet previously worked together on Call Me By Your Name.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Paramount is heading to Sleepy Hollow with a brand new feature film take on the classic Headless Horseman tale, with Lindsey Anderson Beer (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines) announced to direct the movie back in 2022. But is that project still happening, now two years later?

The Hollywood Reporter lets us know this afternoon that Paramount Pictures has renewed its first-look deal with Lindsey Anderson Beer, and one of the projects on the upcoming slate is the aforementioned Sleepy Hollow movie that was originally announced two years ago.

THR details, “Additional projects on the development slate include… Sleepy Hollow with Anderson Beer attached to write, direct, and produce alongside Todd Garner of Broken Road.”

You can learn more about the slate over on The Hollywood Reporter. It also includes a supernatural thriller titled Here Comes the Dark from the writers of Don’t Worry Darling.

The origin of all things Sleepy Hollow is of course Washington Irving’s story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” which was first published in 1819. Tim Burton adapted the tale for the big screen in 1999, that film starring Johnny Depp as main character Ichabod Crane.

More recently, the FOX series “Sleepy Hollow” was also based on Washington Irving’s tale of Crane and the Headless Horseman. The series lasted four seasons, cancelled in 2017.
