Me too on all counts, but I had it in the All Genre Draft.

I'm just starting to get into the Criterion's. I just ordered Eyes Without a Face and Akira Kurosawa: Four Samurai Collection. Next on my list is Ran, Peeping Tom, and Carnival of Souls.

For me, this is by far the best Criterion movie, of them all. I'm guessing the new version will have a better package though. Mine came with three seperate DVD cases, in a nice(but big) slip cover. The new one will(and should) have a slimmer case, but I can't see them adding much more material to it.

The Carnival of Souls is a good one, but that's not saying too much since most of the criterions are good. It even has both versions of the film...

I'm eyeing Equinox, but I would like to actually see it first if I can ever track it down.

Also, guys, it's about the films not how much a disc is worth.
Are you talking about the concept of selling it or how much these discs cost at a retail store?...

If it's the former, then it is a collector's item and collector's items can be sold for a good amount of money...No matter how good the film is, it's still a collector's item...

If it's the latter, then I say sure these movies are great and they are worth every penny spent on them, but it still a limiting thing because they charge a lot of money for them...Money I don't have to buy every single Criterion disc I want...

I hear that. Maybe one day they'll drop in price. I know a BD member that's addicted to Criterions and they empty his pockets pretty quick.

I just ordered Dazed and Confused and Ran. I'm kind of pissed about the re-release of Seven Samurai because I got the boxset not to long ago

Good 'ol Meth. Dropping almost three hundred bucks for twelve films.

I Preordered equinox a while back among a few other criterions, and just recently ordered Carnival of Souls, Sisters and Diabolique. Fucking things are addictive. I'm kicking myself for getting kwaidan though, as it's only the international version and know i'm now just going to have to get my hands on the fully uncut region 2 release...

                    Edit -

It's worth it for him though, it saves him from having to buy porn... All he has to do is look at a criterion and he instantly spurts. Sorta like shed with old blue eyes..

I picked up the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Criterion DVD a little while ago and it was so worth the money. The material on Disc 2 is worth the 30 or 40 bucks alone. I'm definitely picking up the Dazed and Confused Criterion when it comes out.

Dazed came out on the 6th of this month. It's an awesome DVD, go get it.

I own all three of those releases and they are top notch. I was especially impressed with the essays that came with Sisters.

I've been trying to get my hands on a copy around here but no one has it. Ill probably end up ordering it online. I was particularly impressed with the packaging and the large booklet that comes with it.
