So... you've only seen fairly recent stuff? And what is this non-horror business?

Talk about barely scratching the surface...I'd go so far as to say that shitty list hardly smudges the surface.

man you bum me out bro... it sucks to see guys like you make such a sweet forum a pain in the ass. that dude's list was great, regardless if there wasn't anything made 30 years ago. Guys like you may think your coming off as hardcore know-it-alls, but really you just sound like an immature snob who obviously has a huge chip on his shoulder...

anyway, I love most of the movies on your list GutPunch, especially anything by Park or Miike. You should check a classic called Kwaidan. It recieved a Criterion release a few years back. This film is the grandfather of asian horror.
Its okay Cornelius, you can cry

Except that the Criterion release is terrible compared to the Eureka release. Get an all region player, so you can watch KWAIDAN in its uncut form, with corrected colors, unlike the cut, dark Criterion release.

Good list. I was impressed with Ils too. That was a film that turned out to be far better than I expected.

'Best foreign films' is a bit of a weak catagory...

It's like asking people to list the best films filmed in the english language...

                            Just sayin'.
